# Skywalk

### Introduction

Prediction markets are here to stay and they represent a distinct asset class that is very different in its design, behavior and correlation from the rest of crypto and DeFi. A new ecosystem of financialized products is emerging.

Skywalk's mission is to make prediction market positions first-class citizens in DeFi. That means standardizing positions across exchanges and enabling composability across protocols. Skywalk provides the infrastructure for this interoperability layer, starting with the Skywalk Prediction Token Standard.
